Gerald Schoenewolf likes doing psychotherapy, which he's done for 38 years; teaching college in New York, which he's done for 15 years; writing books, which he's done all his life (20 publications, including 14 nonfiction and 6 fiction and poetry books).  He also enjoys making movies, which he's done for 15 years, and making video song poems, which is a more recent pursuit.  (A new album, 18 Video Song Poems, was released in February, 2013).  Many of his students have written in rateyourprofessor.com that he is the greatest teacher they ever had. Schoenewolf judges people on how they treat him, not on whether they express the correct ideas. He works in New York as a college teacher and a psychoanalyst. He lives in the Poconos of Pennsylvania with his wife, Julia, and parrot, Lucky. He likes the quite times in Pennsylvania, fishing, playing golf and tennis, writing screenplays, and more recently creating video song poems that combine his musical compositions, his poetry and his drawings.  He has written 19 screenplays, some of which have won awards at festivals, and He has made several movies.
